Travel Grant
Participants in need of financial assistance to attend the Workshop may request travel support. The grants are used to offset part of the expenses to attend the Workshop, such as transportation and accommodation costs. To apply, please read the guidelines carefully and indicate this in the online registration form. Final decision on travel grant awards will be announced at a later date. Note that such awards will be decided by a Travel Grants Review Committee and owing to limited fund, so as to benefit more participants who are eligible for support.
Selection Guidelines for Travel Grants
1. The grant is primarily used for supporting participants from developing countries, especially in areas that horseshoe crab data are urgently needed, e.g., Vietnam, Brunei, the Philippines and Indonesia. The support to other participants will also be considered, if warranted;
2. Participants who are working with horseshoe crabs and will present papers or posters are on top priority;
3. Grant offered may cover airfares and/or accommodation cost depending on the number of eligible applicants. Partial fund for the above cost may be considered if there are too many eligible applicants;
4. A Travel Grants Review Committee will be set up to review and allocate available fund according to the award criteria established. Sponsors will be invited as Travel Grants Review Committee members.
